  23. I see two ways to solve this problem:
  24. 1) Put both modems into leased line mode (if they can work on leased
  25.  lines).
  26. 2) Tell one modem to dial out without checking dialtone (ATX0D or ATX3D)
  27.  and then make another modem to go on line (ATA).
